Washington University’s literary and media clubs provide a wide range of entertainment—from the thought-provoking to the utterly absurd—for a large number of readers, listeners, and watchers at Washington University as well as in the larger community.

Below are just a few of the literary and media clubs at Washington University:

Student Life NewspaperStudent Life
Washington University’s independent, thrice-weekly newspaper, Student Life, was founded in 1878, making it one of the oldest student newspapers in the country. Along with keeping the campus community up to date on news and trends, Student Life provides a forum for student interaction and discussion.

KWUR
KWUR is a student-run, commercial-free radio station. Broadcasting at 90.3 FM and available online with live streaming through their website, www.kwur.com, the station delivers musical programming, campus news, and student talk shows to the University community. KWUR is one of the few fully student-managed college radio stations in the country.

WUTVWUTV
WUTV is Washington University’s student-run television station. Broadcasting on channel 22 of the University’s cable TV, WUTV provides participants with hands-on experience in broadcast media and offers movies and entertaining student productions to viewers.

WUnderground
WUnderground is Washington University’s self-proclaimed “premiere [only] satirical newspaper.” Similar to The Onion, it should be “taken about as seriously as anything else you would read on the Internet.”

OneWorld Magazine
OneWorld is Washington University’s social justice magazine. Published semesterly, this publication aims to pass on knowledge of local, national, and international events and experiences; to inspire action; and to address the question of what it means to be “one world.”
