Religious & Spiritual Life 

Washington University is an independent, nonsectarian institution where religious life is a matter of personal preference.

Graham ChapelStudents from many religions come to Washington University and there are a wide variety of religious groups where you can practice your faith and explore and learn about other faiths.

Hillel, Chabad, and the Catholic Student Center serve the needs of Jewish and Catholic students respectively and are located right across the street from the University. The Lutheran Student Center and Episcopal Student Center are down the street from campus and will provide transportation for students to church services. Other popular religious groups include Overflow, a Christian group that holds bible studies and large group worship services as well as Harambee Christian Ministries which is a chapter of Intervarsity that is known for its VISIONS gospel choir. Events such as Interfaith Shabbat and Religious Pluralism week are co-hosted by different religious groups and place an emphasis on learning and understanding other faith traditions.
