Do you accept the Common Application? Does Washington University require a supplement? |
Students may apply to Washington University using the Common Application and our short Pre-Application Data Sheet/Common Application Supplement. We encourage you to submit this Supplement (which does not require a separate essay) as soon as possible, but you may wait and submit it with the Common Application. We do not require the Common Application Arts Supplement or the Common Application Athletic Supplement. For instructions, and to access the forms, please follow the appropriate link below:

Do you accept the Universal College Application? |
If you prefer, you may apply to Washington University using the Universal College Application in place of the Common Application. We have no preference. In either case, we encourage you to submit the Pre-Application Data Sheet/Supplement (which does not require a separate essay) as soon as possible. You should submit either the Universal College Application or the Common Application, but not both. |

Why does Washington University ask for my e-mail address on the Pre-Application Data Sheet/Supplement? |
If you would like to receive updates via email and have access to the WUSTL Pathway on our website, you’ll need to provide a valid email address in item #1 and check “yes” in item #12 on the Pre-Application Data Sheet/Common Application Supplement. Our website is the only source of up-to-date information regarding the status of your application to Washington University; we expect applicants to check it regularly. Please add us to your address book so incoming email is not redirected to your “junk” or “bulk” folder. |

Can I check the status of my application for undergraduate admission on the website? |
|
Why does my Common Application account say “Payment Not Submitted” when I’ve paid my application fee on the admissions website? |
Washington University requires payment of the application fee directly to the University (either by check or credit card). Once your payment is received, your status on the WUSTL Pathway will be updated to reflect your payment. This information is not transmitted back to the Common Application, so they are unaware that you have paid your fee. The same is true of the Washington University supplement, which is submitted on the admissions website. The only accurate way to track the status of your application is by logging in to the WUSTL Pathway. We recommend that you check your status often to be sure we have all components of your application. |
How do I contact my application processor? |
If you have any questions about your application, please contact your application processor. You may email your application processor using the information below. When sending an email, be sure to include your full name, address, phone number, and email address.
