If you have already submitted your application for admission to the Class of 2014, you may submit the University Scholars Program online via our Web site.
To submit the application for the University Scholars Program online, please follow the instructions below.
- Application for Undergraduate Admission
Complete an Application for Undergraduate Admission to the Class of 2014. Please click here for more information about the Application for Undergraduate Admission.
A complete application consists of:
- Common Application or Universal College Application with essay
- Pre-Application Data Sheet
- School Report
- Teacher Evaluation
- An official high school transcript, including SAT or ACT scores
- $55 application fee or waiver request
- Application for the University Scholars Program
Please login to the WUSTL Pathway and follow the University Scholars Program link to submit the application which includes an essay (below).
- Essay
Please answer the following question in one page or less: Explain why you are interested in pursuing a career in medicine. Describe any life experiences that may have sparked this interest, as well as any personal attributes that make you especially suited for a medical career.
- A letter of recommendation from a teacher
This letter may be the same as the one submitted with your application for admission; if it is the same, however, you must send a copy for your University Scholars Program application. Recommenders may also submit recommendation forms directly to the address below. It is not possible to submit letters of recommendation on-line. Please click here to download the recommendation form.
- Deadline
Washington University must receive all of your application materials by January 15, 2010.

- Read the instructions carefully.
- You will be able to save your work and return to the online application at a later time in order to complete and submit your application.
- Please login in to the WUSTL Pathway to check the completion status of your University Scholars Program application. Please allow 2-3 business days for your online application to be processed and up to 2 weeks if you submit application materials by mail. We expect applicants to check their status regularly.
