Financial assistance application deadlines

On January 30, the U.S. Department of Education announced that schools will not receive 2024–25 FAFSA data until the first half of March.

While the process for submitting the FAFSA continues to be a major challenge, we will prioritize students and families. We will continue to be as flexible as possible, and we’re here to help answer questions. All financial assistance applicants should visit their Financial Aid Portal via the WashU Pathway and check their email for updates about submission deadlines for the FAFSA. We will update checklists as soon as we receive FAFSA data.

Transfer applicants

You should apply as a transfer student if you:

  • have finished high school/secondary school and completed some college study
  • would like to be considered for admission with advanced standing at Washington University
  • are interested in enrolling full-time in an undergraduate degree program with a specific academic focus
  • have never attended any of Washington University’s full-time, degree-granting schools

Applications must be submitted by the deadlines indicated and must be received complete no later than the complete date indicated.
