STARS Workshop for Rural Counselors

Before You Arrive

• A few days before your visit, you will receive an email from WashU and Uber providing information on accessing your free transportation between the St. Louis Lambert International Airport, your hotel, and WashU’s campus.
• If you’re traveling by car to St. Louis, we will reimburse you for your mileage for a roundtrip visit between your home address and WashU (up to the cost of a flight from the airport nearest your home). The IRS standard mileage rate is currently 67 cents per mile.
• Upon your arrival in St. Louis feel free to check into the hotel, the Hampton Inn & Suites Clayton/Galleria Area, at 216 N. Meramec Ave, Clayton, MO 63105.
• On March 6 we ask that all counselors travel via Uber to the Sumers Welcome Center by 2:30 p.m. for check-in, after their arrival at the Hampton Inn & Suites Clayton/Galleria Area. The drive to the Sumers Welcome Center takes 10-15 minutes, please plan accordingly.
• Shuttles will be provided for transportation the remainder of March 6 and all day on March 7. Please plan to drive of Uber to the Danforth University Center on the morning of March 8 as well.

Don’t forget to submit the STARS Counselor Workshop Meal and Session Preferences form.
