Tips

  • Have your technology ready before your event (download the app, charge your device, etc.)
  • Find a quiet, distraction free space to attend your event.
  • Use the Mute button during meetings.
  • Use your first and last name as your screen name during meetings.
    • When you enter a meeting, click on Participants at the bottom of the meeting screen. Hover on your name, click More, then Rename, and then enter a new screen name.
  • You may choose to have your camera on or off during a meeting – whatever is most comfortable for you.
  • Use a fast, stable internet connection. A wired connection is ideal; use wireless only if reliable. This will help ensure your connection does not falter or drop during the Zoom.
  • If you are experiencing a slow internet connection in a meeting, try turning your camera off.
