Lauren Antonowich, Class of 2025

270 N. Skinker Blvd.
St. Louis, MO 63130

Kaldi’s is a cozy little coffee shop with several locations very close to campus. The nearest one (Skinker) is about a three-minute walk from WashU’s east end of campus and is a wonderful study spot for students—it has a warm environment, constantly great music, and fresh food.

I love the avocado toast at Kaldi’s, which has avocado mash, sesame seeds, feta, mixed greens, and a hot sauce vinaigrette. You can also add egg, Impossible sausage, or bacon on top for some protein! The bread is soft and crispy, and the warm dish goes really well with one of their cold drinks. If you aren’t a coffee drinker, they also have teas and smoothies so that there is something for everyone.

Whether you are just looking for some coffee or want a tasty brunch, Kaldi’s is a great place to visit!
