Ariadne McClure, Class of 2024

6301 Delmar Blvd.
St. Louis, MO 63130

Katsuya is one of those places I find myself going to over and over again. The restaurant is located on the Delmar loop and offers both dine-in and carry-out options. With the bento box style, you get to try a variety of foods. When you order, you select your entrée. Options include katsu, a breaded and fried cutlet of meat, vegetarian tofu or cheese katsu, or sushi. Then you are given a selection of sides chosen by the chef, including rice, pickled vegetables, salad, a daily side dish and various sauces. If you do choose a non-meat entrée your sides will also be all vegetarian. I love being able to eat a variety of things whenever I get a meal from Katsuya and being surprised with a different delicious daily side dish each time I go. I always leave feeling satiated and like I got a good bang for my buck.
